Pro Surfer claims Costa Rica as “A staple in the diet of many traveling surfer”

If you’ve ever visited during the rainy season (march -nov here in the southern zone), you may have noticed how large and consistant the waves are.

If you live in the United States,Costa Rica is a cheap way to catch great waves when things are flat at your local break. With flights starting in the $400-$500 range, and most airlines offering non stop service. The flight takes only a few hours from florida or california. Rooms start out with basic hostel style places for as little as $25/night or you can even score a cheap private hotel room starting at $45/night.

A complete week of surfing can run as little as $1000 US.
